Garlic Butter Shrimp has got to be my second favourite Shrimp recipe. My all time favourite remains Thai Shrimp Curry, recipe HERE. What’s not to love though? It’s succulent large Shrimp infused in rich and lush Garlic and Butter goodness. You’re bound to be swooned by this amazingly delicious dish and that’s a promise.
Ingredients (Recipe serves 2):
12-15 Large Shrimp (Peeled and Deveined)
1/2 Packet Spaghetti or any Pasta of your choosing
3 Heaped Tablespoons Butter
3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
Handful Parsley, thinly chopped
2 Tablespoons Crushed Pepper Flakes
1/2 Teaspoon Paprika
1 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
8 Cloves Garlic, Minced
1/2 Lemon Juice
1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
1 Knorr Chicken Cube
Get your ingredients ready!
Cook Pasta according to package instructions, leave to drain in a colander and set aside. Remember to add salt if necessary…
Place a non stick frying pan, wok or Skillet on low to medium heat and add the olive Oil. When it’s hot, add the Garlic, saute for a minute, please be careful not to burn the Garlic..
Then add the Pepper Flakes, Onion Powder, Chicken cube, Paprika, Cayenne Pepper and saute for another minute..
Now, add the cleaned Shrimp and saute for 2 minutes, stir continuously and turn Shrimp over to cook evenly. do not overcook or you’ll end up with rubbery Shrimp…
After 2 minutes, add the Butter, stir to dissolve and combine. Saute for a minute…
Then squeeze in the Lemon juice, stir and combine…
Add the chopped Parsley if you’re using any, stir and combine…
Switch the heat off and allow to simmer for a minute, and it’s done!
Enjoy with and Pasta or bread slice of your choice….
