Easy Beef Curry Recipe

Beef curry is an Asian inspired Beef Stew/Sauce Recipe. It is simply braised beef slow cooked in Aromatic Spices. I uploaded a recipe for Jamaican Curry Goat in 2015, since then I’ve had numerous requests for a Beef version so, here we are.

Don’t be alarmed by the exhaustive list of ingredients, just try to use as many as you can source.

Let’s cook!

800g Beef With Bones diced into Chunks

1/4 Cup Coconut/ Vegetable Oil

1 Cup Chopped Onions

2Cups Chopped Potatoes

100g Natural/Plain Yoghurt

5 Cloves

1Teaspoon Turmeric Powder

1Teaspoon Black Pepper

2 Cups Chopped Carrots

1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

3 Cardamom pods

1/2 Teaspoon Black Ground Pepper

1 Teaspoon Coriander Powder

1 Teaspoon Chilli Powder

2 Tablespoons Minced Ginger

1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic

1 Teaspoon Cumin Powder

Handful Chopped Spring Onions

2 Red Chillis, Chopped

2 Bay leaves

Salt to Taste

Pour the oil into a wok or pan and place on medium heat. When the oil heats up, add the bay leaves, Cinnamon Powder, Black Pepper, Cardamon pods and Cloves. stir for a minute…

I forgot to add the Cardamon pods, it didn’t really affect the taste to be honest so feel free to skip this if you have trouble sourcing it.
