Stir Fry Noodles! What’s not to love?
If you know me well, you’ll know I love Pasta/Noodles dishes. I’m always out to find new recipes, especially the Asian inspired recipes. I’ve got a recipe for Beef Stir Fry Noodles on the blog already, click HERE to view.
You can use basically any protein of your choosing for this recipe, you may want to use Chicken, Beef, Pork, Turkey or even mix and match. You can even do without and just make it Vegetable Stir Fry. I’ll be using Beef.
I pack Noodles (300g)
200g Beef or Chicken cut into strips
3 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
1 Green Red Bell Pepper chopped into strips
1 Red Bell Pepper chopped into strips
2-3 Stalks Spring Onions Chopped
1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
3 Garlic Cloves (Minced)
1 Small Onion (Chopped)
1 Knorr Chicken Cube
1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
For The Sauce
5 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
3 Tablespoons Hoisin Sauce (replace with Oyster sauce)
3 Tablespoons Rich Chicken Stock
1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
1 Teaspoon Sesame Oil
This is the brand of Noodles I’ll be using..
Cook Noodles according to package instructions and leave to drain in a colander. I usually add a little bit of Vegetable Oil so they don’t stick together.
Mix all the ingredients for the Sauce and set aside..
Marinate the Chicken or Beef with the Garlic Powder, Chicken Stock Cube and Cornflour. Mix thoroughly and leave to marinate for at least an hour.
Pour the Vegetable oil into a wok or pan, place on medium heat. When it heats up, add the marinated Chicken/Beef and fry till brown on all sides. Then, transfer into a bowl, set aside.
Then place the pan back on the heat. Leave the juice in the pan, do not discard. Now, throw in the Chopped Onions, Sauté till fragrant. Then pour in the Minced Garlic and Ginger, Sauté till fragrant..
Increase the heat to high. Now, add the Chopped Peppers, Sauté for a minute..
Then add the the Spring Onions and combine, saute for a minute. Now, transfer the cooked Beef or Chicken back into the pan.
Then transfer the cooked Noodles into the wok.
Combine thoroughly, switch the heat off and leave to simmer with the residual heat for a minute. And that’s it!
