Spicy Pepper Sauce (Bell Pepper Dip)

I’ve always wanted to post this Spicy Pepper Sauce recipe but for some reason, I never got around to it until today.

This Spicy Pepper Sauce  is my favorite go-to sauce imply because of its versatility and amazing taste. This sauce is best enjoyed with Grilled fish, meat or poultry, it is also ideal with Boiled or fried Yam, Plantain, Potatoes among other dishes.

3 Mixed Bell Peppers

1 Cooking Spoon Vegetable Oil

1 Small Onion, chopped

2 Scotch Bonnet

3 Cloves Garlic

5-6 Curry Leaves or 2 Teaspoons Curry Powder

1 Teaspoon Thyme

1 Knorr Chicken Cube

1 Teaspoon Chicken Seasoning

Salt to taste


These are the Bell Peppers I’ll be using…

Blend the Bell Peppers, Scotch Bonnet, Garlic coarsely, set aside.

Place a pan on medium heat, when it heats up, add the Chopped Onions.

Saute the Onions for 2 minutes, then add the Curry leaves…

Saute For another minute, then add the coarsely blended pepper…

Also add the Thyme, Knorr Cube, Chicken Seasoning, combine then fry for 15 minutes. Make sure you stir every now and then to prevent burning..

After 15 minutes, reduce the heat to low, then fry for a further 15 minutes…

  1. Picture perfect! I always love your pictures, makes me hungry. I like to also add a little bit of fresh ginger paste each time i make sauce as this. Meanwhile where can i get that sauce storage bottle you used? Thank you!

    • Hi, thanks for the tip, I’m not a fan of ginger in sauces as it somehow masks the flavour and taste of sweet bell peppers. I got the pot from TK Maxx, I’m assuming you’re in the UK…
